Abstract

The influence of knitting speed, yarn type and cam form on the structure and the relaxation time of interlock knit fabric were examined. Three cotton yarns 20 tex with different characteristics were used as samples. The samples were knitted on two interlock knitting machines with a linear cam and 48 knitting systems as well as with unlinear cam and 108 knitting systems. All most significant parameters of knit structure were analyzed. The results, which were treated by a factor plan trial, show that only the cam form has an influence on the parameters considered with the probability 0.02.
